1971
Fann is born in Singapore on 27th January 1971 at Geylang.
1987
Graduated from Temasek Secondary School with 'O' Levels.
1988
She won the HER WORLD magazine cover girl contest at 16 and began her modelling career from here.
1989
Took her 'A' Levels .
1990
Studied fashion merchanising at the La Salle International Fashion School.
Went to Taiwan for modelling and signed a contract with PT Models.
She was picked to star the Oil of Ulan TV commercial and later spotted to appear for the 5 Sanyo advertisements
1994
She was spotted by TCS and was offered a role for the drama "Dreams Come True"
1995
Won the "Best Newcomer", "Best Actress Award" and "Top 10 Artistes" awards at the annual Star Awards.
She was labelled arrogant after shooting off her mouth on stage:"Now that i've got the "Best Actress" award, what's there for me to bag next year? Perhaps "Best Actor" - if i'm allowed to take on a male role!".
Took on a role for the drama "Golden Pillow" starring Zoe Tay and Alex Man where comparisions were made between Zoe and Fann since then.
1996
Released her first solo album "Fanntasy" and she's also the first MediaCorp (preciously known as TCS) artiste to release one.
Won the "Top 10 Artistes" award at the annual Star Awards and created a storm with her green shorts and translucent black blouse which she wore at the ceremony.
Nomimated for the "Best Actress" award in the Asian Television Awards for her role in The Unbroken Cycle.
Fann was suspended from duty for 6 months as her contract with PT Models was discovered.
1997
Released her second album "I Live Alone" which was also release in Taiwan.

Her 6 months disappearance doesn't seem to affect her which is proven as she won the "Top 10 Most Popular Female Artistes" award at the annual Star Awards.
Took on a McDonald's commercial together with Zoe Tay.
 1998
Won the "Most Popular Local Singer" award for the Y.E.S 93.3FM Hit Awards '98 voted by the listeners.
    The drama, "The Return of the Condor Heroes" won the "Best Director" award and even got Fann to win the "Most Popular Female Artiste in Taiwan" award and also the award for the "Most Popular Drama in Taiwan" at the annual Star Awards.
Her dressing at the Star Awards 1998 created yet another storm, where she wore a red dress with opening at both sides.
Released her second album "Shopping" which reached a high sales record of 250,000 in Taiwan and 150,000 in China and 200,000 in Singapore. It was the year's 10th best selling Chinese album in Singapore in 1998 too.
1999
Fann broke-up with her boyfriend of 11 years. She gave her boyfriend a slap when she saw him with Ericia Lee at a pub.
       Her 10 serial drama, "Out to Win" manages to have an average viewers of nearly 700,000 in addition to its record-breaking 950,000 viewership on its last episode.
Her much anticipated maiden-movie "The Truth about Sam and Jane" was released and is a box-office hit for a several weeks upon release.
Released her third album "Missing You"
Won the "Top 10 Most Popular Female Artistes" award at the annual Star Awards.
This was the only time people praised Fann for her dressing at Star Awards where she wore a yellow shirt, pink short skirt and boots.
Fann was invited to sing the millenium song, "Moments Of Magic" together with Tanya Chua and Elsa Lim.
2000
Her millenium representative work, "Legendary Swordsman" created another Fann- sensation as it hits viewership number one ranking here in Singapore.
       
Release her second movie, "When I Fall In Love...With Both" working together again with Peter Ho since her first movie.
Fann is the first local star to hold a solo concert entitled "MY STORY - FANN WONG IN CONCERT" and it held a record of 90% attendance at the Singapore Indoor Stadium on 24th June.
Nomination for the "Most Popular Female Singer" category in the Singapore Hit Awards 2000.
She was nomination for the "Most Popular Female Singer" category in the Singapore Hit Awards 2000 and the "Best Actress" award in the Hong Kong Movie Awards for her role as Jane in the movie, "The Truth About Jane and Sam".
Released her very own first pictorial album entitled "IN +HE MOODS" and the pictures were fully shot in Hong Kong. The first limited 300 pre-launched copies of it raised a total of $15,000 which was donated to the Handicaps Welfare Association.
Released her fourth album, "No Problem".
Avon opened its first flagship store at Wisma Atria #03-24/25 in October to serve the needs of Singaporean women. The grand opening, on the 28th October, was officially graced by MediaCorp celebrity Fann Wong.
Won the "Special Achievement", the "Most Popular Female Artiste in Malaysia" and the expected "Top 10 Most Popular Female Artistes" awards at the annual Star Awards.
Her verbal gaffe "earned" her a finger-wagging and a very public telling-off for the remark she made during the annual Star Awards.
2001
On Valentine's Day, Fann visited the Assisi Home and Hospice and donated a 5-figure sum to the Home in her name. While she was there, she played with the children and the old folks, who commented that she looked much better in person.
       Being the first Emporio Armani ambassador in Asia.
Spent six days filming Melbourne’s dynamic lifestyle and fabulous fashions. Fann's visit, hosted by Tourism Victoria and the Australian Tourism Commission (ATC), will promote Melbourne as a cosmopolitan destination in the Singapore market.
Y.E.S 93.3FM Hit Awards' 2001 ranked 3rd for the "Most Popular Female Singer".
Ambassador for the Speak Mandarin campaign.
Fann participated in the President's Star Charity in September. She teamed up with fellow MediaCorp actress Ivy Lee opposite Perfect 10 DJ Glenn Ong and ex national basketballer Wee Kim Chye. She was praised for her impressive basketball skills.
Won the "Top 10 Most Popular Female Artistes" award at the annual Star Awards.
Invited to attend the 38th Golden Horse Award held in Hualien (Taiwan) on 8th December where she was to present the Best Theme Song and Original Soundtrack awards together with Taiwan very famous singer, Wu Bai.
2002
Aurias Diamonds (Tianpo Jewellery) - Fann is the first star to endorse the new brand from BHP Billiton, which is the largest natural resource mining company in the world.
  Went Prague to film her third movie, Shanghai Knight (a sequel to the blockbuster Shanghai Noon) which is also her first Hollywood movie where she's cast opposite Jackie Chan and Owen Wilson.
